Credit Card Fraud Projection
Spring 2023
In my capstone project for the Caregivers and Machine Learning course, I set out to determine which machine learning algorithm would work best for predicting credit card fraud. I analyzed an anonymized credit card dataset using various Python libraries, and built three machine learning models using logistic regression, random forest and XGBoost algorithms. I found that tree-based algorithms worked best when performance was measured with metrics that are suitable for imbalanced datasets, namely precision-recall and F1 score.

Tools used: Python, Python libraries (matplotlib, NumPy, Seaborn, scikit-learn), Google Colab, Kaggle
